Personality
Amberstar was pretty much born to become a leader, exceeding in hunting and fighting, and always making sure her clanmates were following her. If any cat wanted to join them, she would let them without hesitation. Did this mean she trusted them? ab-so-lute-ly not. Amberstar doesn't trust any cat unless she knows what they're like. However, she's a pretty smooth talker, and speaks with ease. Cats can truly rely on her tacticality and cleverness to lead the clan.
However, she is trained in the arts of decievery. She knows how to fool any cat, how smart they might be. She also isn't a very nice cat to talk to, often coming over as cold or uncaring, but she isn't at heart. And don't get me started on her fiery temper. If any clan were to misbehave at the borders, she would jump straight into action without thinking. She doesn't sugarcoat anything either. If a cat asks if they're gonna die with a bleeding throat, she'd say yes. Even though she's blunt, she is too keen on keeping secrets. These can be small things like what she ate, or big things like her past, it's a russian roulette in her case.

History
As much as she would claim to have lead a normal life, the truth is written here. Amberkit was born to the leader, Shadowstar, and his deputy, Robinwhisker, together with her sister Kestrelkit and her brother Archkit. With being the kit of both the high ranked cats, and the kit of both the best hunter and the best fighter, Amberkit recieved alot of pressure to perform well. Ofcourse, being a kit, this pressure wasn't as great, but it changed the moment she became an apprentice.
Not only did cats look at her with more intensity, but she was also given to one of the best warriors at the time. However, instead of underperforming as many cats expected, she exceeded in every talent given to a warrior. She was surpassing her siblings, causing them light jealousy. But it was not like she abandoned them, but they ignored her instead.
Suddenly, a battle broke out between Tideclan and Forestclan near the end of her apprenticeship. Ofcourse, she and her siblings were sent into war, seeing as they were one of the best warrior apprentices at the time. The battle ground was next to a gorge that seperated the border to Iceclan. As the battle was fought, she heard a strange noise. As she looked over to see what it was, she saw her sister's red paws clasping onto the edge. Just as she ran over to save her kin, Kestrelpaw fell and hit her head on the gorge below, hitting her inevitable death. However, Archpaw did not see this as inevitable, and blamed Amberpaw for their sister's death, completely shutting her out of his life.
Amberpaw, now Amberlight, was continuing her reign as great warrior as she grew older. Whispers of rumours started going around about 'Forestclan's next leader'. Even though she was praised and loved, she felt incredibly lonely. To no surprise, the next gathering she went, she seeked a friend. Unlike the warnings her father gave her about Tideclan, due to the tensions being high, she met a nice Tideclan warrior, gone by the name of Frostwhisker. The white tom was incredibly nice, and made her feel warmer than ever before just in that night. She asked him to meet her again on the border where the battle had previously taken place, and they did, every other night. But despite that, they stayed just friends, even though Amberlight noticed how the tom attempted flirtatious advances toward her.
However, a great sickness broke out in Forestclan, taking many warriors ill. Her parents were distressed, because the herb that they needed, grew in Tideclan territory. The sickness took one of Shadowstar's lives, and hope was depleting fast. Amberlight finally came clean with her friendship with Frostwhisker, that she had kept secret until now to not raise alarm. She told her father that maybe he could help. But instead of saying he could help, he told her she should decieve him. Amberlight was to act romantic towards him, pursuade him, attempt to swoon him off his paws so he would do what she wanted. He didn't want his clan to seem as weak, so that the tom could tell his leader how weak they were and they could launch an attack. Though hesistant, Amberlight finally agreed to do so.
They changed their meetings to every night, and she saw the tom fall harder and harder for her every time she saw him. Her heart broke. She didn't want to hurt him, but there was no time left. Her brother had fallen ill aswell, and hope was depleting fast. She finally asked for the herbs, and he agreed to get it, despite all the troubles it would take. However the next day was grim. The sick cats were incredibly weak, and the clan started thinking of how longer it would survive.
She went to meet Frostwhisker one last time, bringing him a piece of fresh-kill as a trade. The tom was reluctant to accept, saying he wanted to give the herbs as a gift of his love, but was finally pushed to take it. He asked her to be his mate, and she said she needed some time to think. However, she was not going to return to see him again. When she got back to camp, she was on time for all but two. Her mother and her brother had both died, sweeping the clan with grief. Despite that, the sickness was cured, and a new deputy was chosen. The deputy was her.
However, in the days she was deputy, she felt sluggish and tired, and couldn't stop thinking about Frostwhisker. She had realized she did fall for him after all, as much as she hated it. She went to the gathering with her clan, and when Frostwhisker met her panicked gaze, he nodded with understanding. Even though heartbreak was lit in his eyes.
In a moon, she realized she was getting curious stares from the cats around her. She felt more weak than ever, and she felt incredibly helpless as whispers rose around her. Finally a queen asked her who the lucky tom of her kits was going to be, and she was shocked. She just avoided the question, and the queen understood, thinking it might be one of the toms who had died with the sickness. Amberlight knew whose kits these were, and she wasn't sure if her father would ever accept her as his deputy if he knew her decieving went a step too far. She left the clan, claiming starclan sent her on a journey, and disappeared into the loner's forest for shelter.
She gave birth to 4 kits, one of which being stillborn. She wasn't sure if she could ever leave the loner's forest, until she came across a loner queen, who had lost her own a few days before, all being stillborn. Amberlight told the queen her story, and offered to give up her kits to the she-cat, who was still grieving over her lost young. The loner agreed, thankful for the warmth she would've had if not for their fate, and wished Amberlight a good journey home, attempting to ignore Amberlight's heart breaking at the thought of leaving her kits.
When she returned home, she had made up a story that her kits were born stillborn. However, when she asked for her father, there was word that he had died, due to a fox attack the day before. Amberlight, grieving even more, went to the moonstone with their medicine cat, and recieved her nine lives. It has only been a few nights since she has been appointed leader, and she is doing swell.
