] Lilybreeze + Medicine Cat Lilybreeze was curled up in her nest at the Medicine den, her eyes peacefully shut in a slumber before the loud screech of a bird made the she-cat snap her eyes opened with fear. Her tail twitched uneasily, it sounded too much like a cat who'd fallen into the gorge, and the pretty calico slowly padded out of her den. The medicine cat gulped, what if it was a cat?
'Don't panic, it's most likely Hawkflight playing one of his pranks or just some creature.' She told herself, with a flick of her tail. Her paws sunk into the mud, and the faint morning drizzle made the hairs on her pelt fluff up slightly with discomfort. As she padded towards the noise, she heard the cry again, this time scenting the creature. There was no taste of blood in the air, it was quite easy to detect, and the only thing she smelled other then the creature was the fresh dew from the light rain and the soggy scent of mud.
"Oh, thank goodness, it's just a bird." She said with a sigh of relief. Lilybreeze turned her blue orbs back towards the clearing, shaking a bit of mud from her pad before turning towards the prey pile. Luckily there seemed to be enough to go around, but she knew it would be very greedy to take the plump carp she was eyeballing.... but what if another cat planned on eating it? She stood there for the moment, staring longingly towards the fish and then back towards one of the older and more measly ones, with a sigh.tags: xxx words: 282 notes: ]

Aqua eyes danced around the den. Two paws full of claws unsheathed and sheathed into the bedding made of moss. That was, if you could call it a bed. The remains of a bed seemed more accurate, as the moss had been reduced to shreds. All of these signs led to one conclusion. Flowerstar was quite the nervous wreck. The she-cat had been unable to properly sleep for moons now. Images of Blazemist haunting her with their handsome smiles. Her unkept pelt ruffled uneasily just thinking about the eerie smile. To think that after all she had been through, a nightmare was getting the best of her. It was ironic, yet it seemed so fitting for her. She got her own life ruined when she decided to let the love of her life d- Flowerstar stood abruptly. Too much of this self-pity would lead her down the wrong path. As leader of Tideclan, she had more pressing matters then her own wants. The she-cat groomed herself hastily before putting on a smile and trotting outside. The day was new. A bright morning sun lit up the blue sky. Fluffy white clouds replaced the thin mouse tail like clouds from the day before. A tight frown of concentration flashed across her face as she thought about it. If the clouds were getting more plump, then they must be preparing to rain. They must have been filling themselves up with rain overnight, when no cat was watching. Flowerstar sighed thoughtfully. Her aqua eyes returned to the camp as the thought drifted to the back of her head. She noticed the calico pelt of her medicine cat, Lilybreeze. Her gaze lingered on the lithe form briefly. Might as well try she thought. "Lilybreeze!" she called. "You certainly look much better then me this morning, and that is saying something," she joked lightly as her long limbs brought her to stand by the she-cat. ocenandebo

Lilybreeze + Medicine Cat The medicine cat was still pondering over the prey when her name caused her to fluff up in surprise. "Lilybreeze!" The voice called. "Is someone hurt? Was that bird noise a cat?" She yelped as she snapped her head around. "Oh gosh-" Lilybreeze was about to continue, when she looked and realized it was the leader, heading towards her. Not an emergency, the feline decided as the leader continued on. "You certainly look much better then me this morning, and that is saying something,"
"Oh! Good morning Flowerstar, I - erm, thought that... nevermind." She mewed, rather not ranting on about a bird that scared her. The last thing she wanted to be viewed as was a worrisome, scared healer.
Despite her expression being merry, Lilybreeze knew what she meant by her words, and it seemed it would be a hard road for the she-cat to recover after the rogues. But rather then mentioning it, she gave a sweet smile, her icy eyes sparkling slightly towards the older feline.
Her pelt had flattened only slightly, the rain still drizzling down and causing patches to puff up in discomfort. Though she was born to Tideclan, she was always a Drypaw, but rather not tell anyone that. The only cat who knew was her brother and her former mentor, whom tried to take her swimming and ended with the tiny cat almost drowning. tags: puddlesdog words: 247 notes: nervous fluff fluff coded by [a href="http://adoxographyv2.boards

Flowerstar felt herself jump when the medicine cat squealed. The cream she-cat opened her maw to speak, but closed it when she observed Lilybreeze opening her own mouth to speak. There was no need for them to try and talk over each other. Or rather, for Flowerstar to talk loudly without interuption. Lilybreeze, Flowerstar mused, was more of a nervous wreck then she thought herself to be. Perhaps they had more in common then Flowerstar had previously assumed. A deep purr of amusement rumbled in the leader's throat as Lilybreeze stammered on. "Lilybreeze, it's quite okay. Last time I checked, the whole clan was unharmed from cat, birds, and cats making birdcalls," to prove her point, Flowerstar glanced around the clan camp. "See? Nothing bad to be seen here," she informed the other she-cat with a shrug. "Good morning Lilybreeze," the cream she-cat warmly responded. The day had started off somewhat rocky, what with Lilybreeze and the bird. But the leader had sworn to do her best to help the clan, and helping the clan meant making sure everybody felt they fit in. Judging by Lilybreeze's unncertain expression, Flowerstar was almost positive the she-cat was keeping secrets of her own. Not that Flowerstar would pry into the medicine cats buisness. Although the idea did intrique her, she forced it to the back of her mind. If she wanted to be friends with Lilybreeze, she couldn't start out the day with a intruding question. No, she should start with something more like- "Well, if we can put the bird stuff behind us, how did you sleep last night?" her mouth did not heed her when she had told it to not say anything. Oh well, the damage was done. Now to see if Lilybreeze wanted to respond or remain mostly unresponsive. ocenandebo

Leafwhisper woke up at the sound of a bird's screech. She stretch and padded out of her den, spotting Lilybreeze and Flowerstar talking. Slowly padding over she was at their side by the time Flowerstar was done asking her question. A sharp retort was on the tip of her tongue, but she held it in, instead smiling and dipping her head to Flowertar. "Good morning Flowerstar. Anything I can do for you on this fine morning?" Her voice was gentle and sweet like honey, but inside her brain she wanted so badly to say something like 'I slept well, thanks for asking.'. Today was one of Leafwhisper's bad days. She had woken up on the wrong side of the bed. One poke would have pushed her off completely. The brown tabby turned her piercing green eyes on Lilybreeze. "Good morning Lilybreeze. How is your apprentice's training coming along?" She kept her voice friendly, but her face was expressionless and cold. Her icy heart was more icy today than normal. I wish I could just hide in the den and sleep today away, but I suppose as deputy that is out of the question. Her claws slid out unintentionally and she quickly sheathed them, making sure not to let on that she had let them slide out. puddlesdog, ocenandebo

] Lilybreeze + Medicine Cat "Lilybreeze, it's quite okay. Last time I checked, the whole clan was unharmed from cat, birds, and cats making birdcalls," The leader mewed, before glancing around and causing Lilybreeze to give a light giggle. Even though it was slightly on her fault for being quite spooked, it was always better to be amused then to be offended. "See? Nothing bad to be seen here," Flowerstar finished, as she met her gaze again.
"Alright, alright, I'll try not to sound like an insane cat and run through the camp at any odd noise, I was just making sure." She said with a purr, smiling lightly before the she-cat resumed. "Good morning Lilybreeze," The cream-pelted cat greeted, causing the younger she-cat purr lightly once again. "Well, if we can put the bird stuff behind us, how did you sleep last night?"
"Oh! I slept very well, thank you!" She said in her usual soothing tone, and gave a light smile. "Except the bird, of course."
The approach of the deputy made Lilybreeze's ears perk up, her eyes directing towards her. "Good morning Flowerstar. Anything I can do for you on this fine morning?" The tabby asked, and the medicine cat took the moment as it seemed their attention was directed away to try to flatten her pelt, which bristled back up in discomfort as the rain continued to softly land on her back.
When she felt eyes land on her she quickly looked back up, just in time to catch Leafwhisper's question, her voice sounding a bit monotone yet tugged at tiredness. something the calico easily picked up. "Good morning Lilybreeze. How is your apprentice's training coming along?" The deputy mewed, her eyes making her feel slightly uneasy but she pushed the feeling down.
"Great! Quailpaw seems to really enjoy learning the herbs, she's a very intelligent apprentice." The medicine cat replied. Of course she was sometimes distracted, but it would be a bit rude to put her down like that, when she was still learning? Besides, she'd only been Quailpaw's mentor for about 2 moons, the feline still had plenty more to learn. They had only went over the basic things, but very thoroughly, as she planned on teaching her rather with quality then with a quickly paced tone. Better learn more in more time then nothing in little, she thought.

The few rain-drops that fell on Flowerstar were ignored. The she-cat had seen much worse then a small drizzle, so she welcomed the small rains. Hopefully the light weather meant that no bad weather would take place. Or it was the beginning of many terrible storms. The she-cat pursured her lips in thought, but quickly blinked away the different notions. She, the leader, had more important matters to think about. Matters like socializing with her medicine cat. That, Flowerstar mused, certainly had to take priority over whatever it was she had just been thinking about. Not that she had forgotten.. Flowerstar raised her head abruptly when she heard the medicine cat respond to her earlier statement. She had to stop getting so side-tracked. "Then I suppose all is good in our little clan," the cream tabby smiled at Lilybreeze. A light laugh escaped her at Lilybreeze's next response. "Except for the bird," she agreed with another laugh. Lilybreeze truly was quite funny, but not on purpose. Flowerstar knew that was much better then trying ot be funny when you weren't. Now that was something that never worked out well. And here came the joyful Leafwhisper. Flowerstar kept the essence of happiness left in her from Lilybreeze's adorableness as she smiled. Honestly, the leader had no idea what drove her to pick the straight-foward warrior as her deputy. Some days the constant no joking attitude was quite tiresome. It was like her deputy did not know what the word "laughter" meant. Flowerstar still respected Leafwhisper, and that was the sole reason the she-cat stood there as her right-hand cat. "And good morning to you too Leafwhisper! I have no desire other then for you to sit here and share this morning with us," the lithe she-cat responded with another smile. It would have sounded much more poetic to say "gorgeous" or "beautiful" morning, but with the moistness in the air and the drizzle, it really wasn't gorgeous or beautiful. "Well, do either of you have anything you need to share with any of us?"ocenandebo wispysky
